What Jarling stores, and where

Jarling keeps your cultivation records in the app's own private storage area on your device. That includes:

• jar names, sprout types, start dates, and rinse schedules;
• the times you recorded each rinse;
• notes and photos you add to a jar's journal;
• whether a jar was harvested or discarded;
• your app settings, such as reminder times, theme, and language.

This information never leaves the device unless you deliberately export a backup file and choose where to put it.

Photos

Jarling asks for photo or camera access only at the moment you tap "Add photo". If you grant it, the image you pick is copied into Jarling's own storage so the journal entry keeps working even if the original is later moved or deleted. Jarling does not read your photo library in the background, and does not upload photos anywhere.

Notifications

Rinse, soak, and harvest reminders are scheduled locally by your device's operating system. Jarling does not use a push server, so no device token or reminder content is sent over the network. You can turn reminders off entirely, or per jar, in the app.

Backups you create

The export feature writes a single file containing your jars, rinses, notes, settings, and any journal photos encoded inside it. You choose the destination through your device's own share sheet. If you place that file in a cloud drive or send it to someone, its contents are then subject to that service's handling, not ours — store backups somewhere you trust.

What Jarling does not do

• No accounts, sign-in, or user profiles.
• No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or usage tracking.
• No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
• No third-party SDKs that collect data.
• No selling or sharing of information, because none is collected.

Deleting your data

"Clear all data" in Settings removes every jar, rinse, note, and stored photo from the app. Deleting Jarling from your device removes its storage as well. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf and no request you need to send us.

Children

Jarling is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
